Eastern Europe 2010

Music

Gene Gill, his nephew Duke Gill, and Natalie Bailey Keefe toured Eastern Europe for 3 weeks in July 2010.  Their stops included Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest, and Prague.

On day 3, Gene and Duke took a "day trip" by train, to Dresden, Germany.  Prior to WW2, Dresden was one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but it was completely destroyed by bombs and fire on the last day of the war.  It has been completely rebuilt now, and although the black of the fire is still evident, Dresden is once again returning to the grandeur of the past.
