Edward Marlin Young, 76 of Memphis passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. He was a Retired Safety Manager of Tennessee for South Central Bell and owner of Ed Young & Associates. He was also a deacon at Colonial Baptist Church, a Navy Veteran during the Korean War, a mason, a member of White Station/OK Houck Lodge and AL Chymia Shrine Temple and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He is survived by his wife, Patricia D. Young; two daughters, Cindy Willett and husband Eddie of Collierville and Michelle Rubens and husband Larry of Knoxville; a son, Marty Young and wife Pam of Collierville; grandchildren, Whitney Willett, Ty Young, Chaney Young, Abby Young, Lauren Peterson, Christopher Rubens, Kelsey Rubens; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson Michael Rubens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday.
